A West Virginia man has been arrested nearly eight months after a devastating head-on collision that claimed one person’s life and seriously injured several others. Authorities say the arrest follows a lengthy investigation into the October 2025 crash, during which investigators allegedly discovered multiple controlled substances in the driver’s system.
According to the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, 46-year-old David Fultineer was arrested on July 1, 2026, and charged with DUI resulting in death and DUI causing serious bodily injury. The charges are connected to a fatal traffic crash that occurred on October 28, 2025, along Mt. Clare Road in Harrison County, West Virginia.
Head-On Collision Left Five People Injured
Investigators said the crash involved a 2011 GMC Acadia, driven by Fultineer, and a 2018 Ford Transit van carrying four occupants. The vehicles collided head-on, causing significant damage and leaving all five people involved with injuries severe enough to require emergency medical treatment.
Emergency responders transported every occupant from both vehicles to nearby hospitals following the collision. Authorities have not released detailed information regarding the extent of each victim’s injuries, but officials confirmed that one of the occupants later died from injuries sustained in the crash.
