Following surgery, doctors confirmed the cancer was Stage 4 glioblastoma, a disease that often carries a poor prognosis. Elliot says hearing the words, “We’ve found a mass on your brain,” was overwhelming, but learning that the condition is associated with a median survival of approximately 12 to 18 months with current standard treatments was even more devastating.
The diagnosis has forced Elliot and his family to confront an uncertain future that they never imagined.

Despite the difficult prognosis, Elliot remains determined to continue fighting.
He is preparing to undergo radiotherapy and chemotherapy, the standard treatments used to slow the progression of glioblastoma and improve quality of life. At the same time, he and his family are exploring every appropriate treatment option that may offer additional time together.
Rather than accepting defeat, Elliot says he is focused on making the most of every day while pursuing every reasonable avenue available in his battle against the disease.
A Devoted Husband and Father
Throughout his journey, Elliot says his greatest motivation is his family.
He and his wife, Erica, are raising two young children: Aluna, who is five years old, and Ocie, who recently celebrated his first birthday.
In his message, Elliot describes his children as his entire world. He dreams of watching Aluna continue to grow into the compassionate young girl she is becoming and hopes to guide and encourage her through every stage of life.
He also longs to witness Ocie’s milestones—from riding his first bicycle to developing the playful personality already beginning to shine through.
