A fatal collision on the Pomona (60) Freeway claimed the life of 63-year-old Wade Wilson in the early hours of Saturday, May 23, 2026. The incident occurred near the Paramount Boulevard exit in Montebello, California, resulting in significant traffic disruptions and leaving another individual injured.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the crash took place at approximately 2:33 a.m. in the eastbound lanes. Emergency responders arrived to find one victim deceased in the middle lanes, while another was trapped inside a black sedan that had collided with the freeway barrier.
Montebello Fire Department personnel worked to free the trapped occupant, who was subsequently transported to a hospital; their current condition has not been disclosed.
