Family and friends are mourning the passing of Vivien Kania, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and treasured great-grandmother, who passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026, at the age of 92.
Vivien will be remembered as the heart of her family, living a life defined by kindness, grace, unwavering faith, and unconditional love. Her warm smile, gentle spirit, and compassionate nature touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her, leaving behind a legacy that will endure for generations.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Whether gathered around the dinner table, celebrating holidays, or watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren grow, Vivien treasured every moment shared with those she loved. She believed life’s greatest blessings were found in family, friendship, and faith.
Vivien is survived by her devoted husband of 70 years, Robert Kania, whose lifelong partnership was a testament to enduring love and commitment. She also leaves behind her children, Gary (Janice), Greg (Terry), and Timothy (Dory), along with her beloved grandchildren—Daniel, Janine, Beth, Michael, Alexandria, Brook, and Timothy Jr.—and 14 cherished great-grandchildren, all of whom were a constant source of pride and happiness.
She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will remember her for her wisdom, generosity, and quiet strength. Vivien was preceded in death by her parents, Milford and Edrie Reed; her brothers, Milford Reed Jr. and Edward Reed; and her beloved grandson, Gregory Kania Jr., whose memory she carried close to her heart.
The Kania family has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers, relatives, and friends whose compassion, kindness, and unwavering support brought comfort to Vivien throughout her life. Their care and friendship helped ensure she remained surrounded by love until her peaceful passing.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Vivien’s remarkable life during visitation on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Siwicki-Yanicko Funeral Home in Russellton, West Deer Township. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lakes Parish – St. Victor Church, with interment afterward at Holy Savior Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleum in Richland Township.
Although her loved ones deeply mourn her passing, they find comfort in the faith that Vivien is now at peace in the presence of the Lord. Her legacy of love, compassion, and devotion to family will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
